Following previous amazing performances, some of our children qualified to represent the South Downs Area at the Sussex School Games 2024 Cross Country Finals. The top Years 5 and 6 cross country runners from across Sussex competed at the Finals in Crawley. Charlie, Hector, Henry and Isla were the runners from Alfriston and we are so proud of them! The rain had poured down hours before, making the course extremely muddy and wet. There were some tight corners and very narrow tracks to navigate but our MIGHTY runners ran amazingly... bringing back a Bronze Medal! Absolutely fantastic! We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Darren Evans for inspiring the children to run and for his time, patience and commitment to help us practise and teach the children to reach their personal best.
