On Thursday 25th January, six of our Year 5 and 6 pupils who are Eco Warriors attended a Climate Change Summit in Eastbourne. The event was run by East Sussex County Council and the youth cabinet. They joined pupils from other primary and secondary schools, as well as school leaders and Council officials, to learn about current best practice, how to develop our school's climate action plan, hear the implications of the DfE’s sustainability and climate strategy for education and they took part in interactive workshops. They also gave a presentation to the delegates on the ways in which we at Alfriston School are being environmentally friendly.
